Asheville Tea Party sponsors machine gun social
ASHEVILLE (AP) — Who can resist the chance to fire a couple of dozen rounds using a Uzi?
The Asheville Citizen-Times reports the Asheville Tea Party Political Action Committee is hoping that a lot of people will pay for the chance to shoot.
Bilello says the event will also show the tea party’s support for gun rights. She says the group raised about $1,000 at a similar event earlier this year.
Those paying $25 can fire a 30-round clip from a 9mm-submachine gun such as an Uzi. Those who pay $35 can fire an M16. For $50, people get the power of an AK-47.
Pizza and drinks are included.
