DETROIT— Three passengers aboard a Greyhound bus that rolled over and crashed in Ohio have filed a federal civil suit against the company.
Detroit-area attorney Geoffrey Fieger sued on behalf of Rayvar Williams of Detroit, Lorianne Stevens of Halladay, Tenn., and Tyrone Allen of Winston-Salem, N.C.
The lawsuit says there was negligence and infliction of emotional distress. It was filed Friday and requests a jury trial.
The bus was carrying 51 passengers from Cincinnati to Detroit when it ran off Interstate 75 about 35 miles southwest of Detroit about 4 a.m. Sept. 14. The bus hit a fence and tree. About three dozen people were hurt.
Driver Dwayne Garrett was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control.
