SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — A North Carolina woman has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for a wreck in South Carolina that killed one teen and injured another.
Multiple media outlets reported that 42-year-old Lisa Cheree Fall of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, pleaded guilty Monday to felony driving under the influence resulting in death.
She also pleaded guilty to felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury.
Circuit Judge Frank Addy Jr. also sentenced Fall to four years of probation after the prison term.
Prosecutor Barry Barnette said Fall was under the influence of several prescription drugs and was driving the wrong way on Business Interstate 85 when she hit the brothers’ car.
Seventeen-year-old Allen Peter Turlak of Greer died and 19-year-old Vitaly Turlak was seriously injured in the wreck June 13.
