Wing flap

Hell hath no fury like a hangry woman.

Wilmington resident Clarissa Gagum, 24, allegedly was so hungry and angry that she flipped out and pulled a gun on fast food workers at Fu-Wangz takeout restaurant, because they messed up her order.

The error? Gagum said she wanted boneless wings, but was served bone-in wings.

“After a heated argument … the woman demanded her money back then went to her car and pulled out a gun,” stated a report in the Wilmington Star-News, which cited a police spokeswoman. “When she went back inside, she knocked over merchandise and waved the gun around.”

Apparently, a chicken wing can be a pretty big thing.

The alleged freak-out at Fu-Wangz resulted in Gagum being arrested on charges of assault by pointing a gun and injury to personal property. She was sent off to jail with a $30,000 bond, according to WECT, the local NBC affiliate.

The station also reported that Gagum’s husband, Rasheem Gagum, 24, was charged with resisting arrest in connection with the wing flap.

Reflecting on the incident, a commenter on the Star-News website asserted that Mrs. Gagum “should do time for even ordering boneless wings.”

“In Buffalo they would throw her over the falls!” he added. “No self respecting wing aficionado would even consider so-called boneless wings.”

Another quipped: “These are the important issues NC cares about. Not about the bathrooms. In fact, just label the restrooms: BONES and BONELESS.”

These are troubling times indeed.
