David Donovan//May 19, 2016

Former North Carolina Court of Appeals Judge Martha Geer has joined Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll, a national plaintiffs’ firm, the firm announced May 16. Geer will be a partner and serve as head of the firm’s new North Carolina office, which is expected to open later this month.

Prior to being elected to the Court of Appeals in 2002, Geer spent 19 years as an attorney in private practice, including as a founding partner at Patterson, Harkavy & Lawrence. Cohen Milstein said that in her new position Geer will litigate cases, both locally and nationally, across a broad range of practice areas at both the trial and appellate levels.

The Raleigh office will join existing Cohen Milstein offices in Washington, D.C.; New York; Philadelphia; Chicago; Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and Denver.
