Sharita Whitaker, an attorney with Smith Anderson of Raleigh, recently won a top award in the Chambers and Partners’ inaugural Chambers Diversity Awards. Whitaker won in the Future Leader – Minority Lawyers (Private Practice) category.
Erin Jane Illman, an associate in Bradley Arant Boult Cummings’ Charlotte office, has been appointed to the North Carolina Bar Association’s Strategic Planning & Emerging Trends Committee for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
Robinson Bradshaw shareholders have elected attorney Angelique Vincent-Hamacher to its board of directors. She will be the first African-American and third woman to serve in this role. Vincent-Hamacher co-chairs the firm’s employment and labor practice group and focuses her practice on employment counseling, alternative dispute resolution and employment litigation.
