SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — A Spartanburg man has been charged in a wreck that killed a North Carolina man last month.
The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reported that 32-year-old Joshua Marcell Meadows is charged with felony driving under the influence involving death and two counts of felony DUI resulting in injury.
Police say Meadows was driving a car in Spartanburg the night of June 8 when he lost control of the vehicle.
A police report says Meadows was driving about 70 mph in a 35 mph zone.
Fifty-seven-year-old Harold Dean Fields of Asheville, North Carolina, died at the scene.
It was not clear if Meadows has an attorney.
