Lawyers in the News – Oct. 22

Robinson Bradshaw in Charlotte announced that ten new associate attorneys have joined the firm.

Scott Cogar is a corporate attorney with experience representing investment banks and other institutional lenders who was previously with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.

Andrew Kilpinen has a litigation practice focusing on corporate restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings. He was previously an associate at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago.

Matthew Evangelisto, Kristin Hendrickson and Adrianna Sarrimanolis are graduates of the University of North Carolina School of Law.

Curtis Strubinger and Andrew Wagner are graduates of Duke University School of Law.

Scott DeAngelis is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School. Katherine Moles is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. Spencer Wiles is a graduate of the Washington and Lee University School of Law.

Rebecca Brophy has joined McGuireWoods’ mergers and acquisitions practice as a partner in the firm’s Raleigh office. She comes to the firm from Smith Anderson.

Morgan Rich has joined Cordell & Cordell, a national domestic litigation firm, as an associate in its Charlotte office. Before joining the firm, Rich primarily practiced family law.

Dave Efrid has joined Womble Bond Dickinson, where he will join the firm’s economic development team in Raleigh. Efird was previously general counsel for the N.C. Department of Commerce.
