Lawyers in the News – Dec. 2

Sarah Crotts has joined Parker Poe as part of the firm’s health care industry team as special counsel in Charlotte. Crotts helps clients navigate federal and state regulations regarding fraud and abuse, billing, the corporate practice of medicine, Medicare, HIPAA, and other areas. She comes to the firm from Wall Babcock in Winston-Salem.

Rachel Matesic has joined The Sasser Law Firm in Cary as an associate attorney. Matesic will join the firm in its work representing individuals in insurance disputes, particularly in claims concerning ERISA benefits, individual disability insurance, and catastrophic injury claims.

Matthew Kitchens has joined The Van Winkle Law Firm in Asheville as a senior attorney in its litigation practice group. Kitchens focuses his practice on general civil litigation, including significant personal injuries, eminent domain defense and land use litigation, and has extensive experience in criminal defense cases and federal and state appeals.

Nevin Wisnoski has also joined The Van Winkle Law Firm, as an associate attorney in its litigation practice group, where he focuses on federal Indian and tribal law, commercial disputes, and a variety of tort matters.
