UNC Law embraces the masses (access required)

Until recently, those of us with neither the money nor the SAT scores required for admission could dream of dropping by an Ivy League school to hear a professor lecture. But the creation of MOOCs — massive open online courses — allows anyone with an internet connection to do precisely that. Now, the unwashed masses — even journalists — can sit in, via video, on lectures at brainy schools like Yale University. And best of all, they’re free.
