North Carolina Legal 250

It is finally here. What you are reading is the result of nearly six months of work.

What you are holding — or reading on your screen — is the product of our labor, and we could not be more proud to share it with you.

The process began earlier this year with careful planning and an open nomination cycle that reflected just how many attorneys across North Carolina are making a meaningful difference in their communities and their profession. From there, the editorial team at North Carolina Lawyers Weekly added our own selections — attorneys we knew deserved recognition for their impact on the state’s legal landscape.

Collecting information, writing profiles and building this publication was no small undertaking. We are grateful for the guidance of colleagues within BridgeTower Media who have produced similar projects, as well as our digital team, whose persistence and patience made this possible.

We recognize that 250 attorneys across 27 categories cannot capture everyone who deserves a place in these pages. If you find yourself asking why a particular person was not included, we invite you to nominate them — or yourself — when we open nominations for next year’s issue. We are also open to suggestions for new categories.

It is our hope that the North Carolina Legal 250 inspires its readers and honors the attorneys who work every day to make North Carolina a better place to live, work and seek justice.
