David Senter is senior counsel at Maynard Nexsen in Raleigh, with 42 years of practice concentrating in construction law. He is one of only five North Carolina members of the American College of Construction Lawyers.

Senter has served in leadership roles with the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law and currently chairs the Construction Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s panel of arbitrators, a certified mediator and an adjunct professor of construction law at Wake Forest University School of Law.

His notable matters include representing the steel fabricator and erector on the redevelopment of Texas A&M’s Kyle Field football stadium and representing the structural steel fabricator for a portion of the Ravenel cable-stay bridge over the Cooper River in Charleston.

He said the mentors who shaped his early career “exhibited professionalism and integrity at every point making me a better person and a better lawyer.”
