Kelly Dempsey, a partner at Fox Rothschild, started her career as a commercial litigator. Her practice evolved into adoption and family formation law after her own experience with the immigration issues she encountered when she adopted her oldest daughter in Vietnam.

“When I adopted my child, things didn’t go as planned and I was stuck in Vietnam with an infant child, unable to return home due to U.S. immigration issues,” she says. “I learned the law of international adoption and ultimately secured her immigrant visa to come home, and my practice grew from that experience.”

Over time, her practice has expanded to include assisted reproductive technology as a viable option for family building.

Dempsey says her guiding principle is to do her best, and she knows that it’s the little things that earn her clients’ trust.

“I want my clients to know they can and should expect that my team and I will do great work reliably and efficiently for them,” she says.
