Gov. has named two to state agency panels, including one as a chair.

, of New Bern, was appointed chair of the , a news release says. Norment, a lawyer for Ward and Smith, is a former member of the Tryon Palace Foundation’s board, including service on its executive, finance, audit and nominating committees.

, a senior attorney for state policy for the Nicholas Institute for Solutions at Duke University, was tapped as a member-at-large of the of Directors, the release says. The Morrisville attorney previously served five years as a senior attorney at the Southern Environmental Law Center, focusing on water and coastal issues, and as chair of the Environment, Natural Resources and Energy Section of the .
