87 NC counties now using eCourts electronic filing system

Another tranche of North Carolina counties went live on the eCourts electronic court document filing system.

The move puts 87 of the state’s 100 counties on the system, a news release from the North Carolina Judicial Branch says.

The counties are in the state’s west and along its northern tier. They are Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Caswell, Forsyth, Madison, Mitchell, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes, Yadkin, and Yancey counties.

The final group of counties to transition to eCourts will do so on Oct. 13.

Lawyers in the 14 counties now are using the eFiling (also known as File & Serve), Portal and Enterprise Justice (Odyssey) systems for of court records and to search them online.
