As a member of Fox Rothschild’s litigation team, Jonathan P. Heyl focuses his practice on commercial litigation.

“I like the excitement of the high stakes, and have always had an interest in business, so it has been a natural fit,” he says. “Over the years, I have found that learning new businesses and industries with each case keeps things interesting.”

He says he was fortunate that opportunities to work on large commercial litigation early in his career gave him invaluable exposure and experience to help him be successful as a young attorney.

Heyl believes in treating those in the legal community the way he would want to be treated.

“I strive to understand what my clients want to accomplish and how they like to receive counsel,” he says. “My objective in every engagement is to achieve the best result possible for my clients, which includes evaluating different possible options.”

He is a former president of the North Carolina Bar Association.
