Women-led and women-owned, Ward Black Law has long served as a role model for women in the legal profession and in the community. The staff is made up mostly of women, reflecting a workplace shaped by leadership, service, and advocacy.

Ward Black Law is led in part by principal attorney and owner Audrey Snyder, who helps guide the firm’s work and future. Snyder established the firm’s Law Clerk program and is a mentor for law students. She is a former president of NCAWA and a former president of NCAJ Women’s Caucus.

Founded by Janet Ward Black, the firm continues the legacy of a trailblazing attorney whose leadership shaped Ward Black Law and the North Carolina legal community. Today, the firm remains committed to seeking justice, serving clients with care, and supporting the community with purpose.

Ward Black Law remains active in professional and nonprofit organizations, including efforts that support women in law, access to justice, and community service.
