Garrett, Walker, Aycoth & Altamura is a personal injury, workers’ compensation and criminal defense firm founded in 2020 in Randolph County. The firm is led by Matthew Altamura and Shannon Altamura, both managing and owning partners, and has six attorneys.

The Altamuras worked as injury lawyers in Asheboro for over 15 years with a smaller firm. During the COVID pandemic, they partnered with attorneys Brian Walker and Chad Garrett of Garrett, Walker, Aycoth & Olson in Greensboro to launch their new law practice with better marketing, litigation resources and mentorship.

The workers’ compensation practice has grown significantly, necessitating a full-time workers’ compensation paralegal and two attorneys who share the caseload. The personal injury practice has grown in volume, case variety and geographic proximity, handling cases across the state and country.

The firm supports local communities through year-round fundraising. It has sponsored Habitat for Humanity of Randolph County, supported local schools and small businesses, and participated in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program and Operation Yuletide with the Greensboro Police Department.
