B. David Carson says he’s all-in for his clients — focused and doggedly fighting for them. He claims construction law chose him early in his career when he was assigned cases in this practice area.

Thirty years later, Carson has not only embraced construction law, but he is also well known for his expertise and success in the practice area. A long-active member and leader of the N.C. Bar Association Construction Section, he is serving his second term on the section council. He was chapter attorney for the N.C. Subcontractors Alliance for eight years, ending in 2023.

In his role as a construction attorney in Charlotte, Carson keeps his eye on the Queen City’s vibrant, resilient economy, and he’s optimistic about the future.

“It will be interesting to see what happens to the U.S. economy this year and how that will impact North Carolina or Charlotte,” he says. “The city has been relatively recession-proof because it is so fast-growing.”
