Caroline Trautman’s career spans nearly 20 years, and she never fails to put in the work, time and individual attention that leads to success for her clients.

She is licensed to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina, handling a variety of civil business and commercial matters with a strong focus on construction law.

With her mediation, arbitration, and trial experience, Trautman has developed the perspective needed to help her clients avoid and de-escalate troublesome disputes when possible. She also counsels her clients on prevention measures and best practices to help avoid disputes and succeed in their everyday operations.

She currently chairs the N.C. Bar Association Construction Council and Construction Section and served as managing editor of the North Carolina Construction Deskbook’s 8th Edition.

Trautman is on the American Arbitration Association’s Panel of Arbitrators and has completed North Carolina Civil Collaborative Practice Training.
