As 2025 unfolds, Scott views artificial intelligence and the expanding tariff policies as among the top drivers shaping the construction industry and the practice of law.

“We saw how tariffs disrupted the construction industry during the last round of trade tensions, and there’s every indication they could do the same this time around,” he says. “At the same time, AI is rapidly making inroads into the legal profession and will significantly reshape the practice — particularly in streamlining discovery for complex, document-heavy construction cases.”
