When it comes to cases that challenge and motivate Daniel G. Katzenbach, those with many moving parts, varying circumstances and many attorneys involved are the most enjoyable.

“I also appreciate that the construction bar is small, so we deal with the same counsel most of the time,” he says.

Katzenbach recalls one of the more memorable cases from his 30-year career, a residential defect case that went wrong.

“I had a seemingly simple residential defect case end up going to trial and taking almost two weeks to complete when it probably should have been a two- to three-day trial,” he says. “But we prevailed, so it all ended well.”

Katzenbach believes technology will define and shape the practice of law in the months and years ahead, especially when it comes to the use of video conferencing and remote work.

“With the increase in use of video conferencing and distance working, I think we will see more remote depositions and mediations and even court hearings,” he says.
