After working part time for a real estate attorney during high school, college and law school, Lindsay Thompson learned at an early age how she wanted to spend her career.

“I like the process and also like that most of the time, everyone walks away from a real estate closing pretty happy,” she says.

She earned her law degree from Campbell University and today is an attorney at The Van Winkle Law Firm, where she focuses on commercial real estate, land use, and matters involving property owner associations. Long active in the N.C. Bar Association, she was recently elected to its board of governors.

Thompson describes herself as organized, methodical and responsive to her clients’ needs and requests, and she does her best to meet deadlines.

“Real estate is not rocket science, but it does require a high level of organization and understanding of logistics to pull off a successful closing,” she says.
