After starting his career in “big law,” Joel Rhine moved to Wilmington to be near his family. He quickly became engrossed in complex litigation on behalf of people who’ve suffered harm.

He pursued what became the “synthetic stucco litigation,” dubbed by an assistant attorney general as one of the worst consumer crises in North Carolina history. He has expanded his work to include other national class actions.

“We are also part of a team representing more than 20,000 individuals exposed to poisonous water at Camp Lejeune,” he says.

Rhine opened The Rhine Law Firm in 2011. He achieved his first eight-figure verdict in a federal jury trial at age 30 and continues to attain life-changing results for his clients.

“This year, we hope to advance some of our biggest cases on behalf of young men sexually abused by their popular science teacher and on behalf of all North Carolinians seeking the simple pleasure of clean drinking water,” he says. “We derive tremendous satisfaction from fighting for our personal injury clients.”
